Never Fade Away

This was a small boardgame project I did on a single evening. Painting all the Edgerunners for the Cyberpunk 2077 Gangs of Night City boardgame. A quick paintjob done mostly with QuickGen and Speed Paints.

I spent a ton of hours playing the videogame, and our local game store had an insane discount sale going on for the boardgame, so I told myself, even for the miniatures alone it was worth the price.

The scale is a bit smaller than other miniature games, and being soft plastic the details arent all that spectacular, but it looks quite nice once painted. It allowed me to practice some materials like leather and human skintones with QuickGen paints, which I still hadn't had the chance to do. I particularly love how Kerry Eurodyne and Rogue turned out.

Painting tatoos was a bit of a hassle though, since at this scale they aren't readable enough, yet the characters feel like they are missing something if you dont paint those tatoos on them.
Also, some of the cyberdermis lines were poorly done on th miniatures, particularly Jackie's. For some reason, instead to make them as recesses on his skin they decided to make them pop out, and that makes his miniature look kind of off.

That aside, it's a nice set of minis. They would look great in any cyberpunk game environment.
