Spooky Fellows

Hi all! This week was one for rounding up pending miniatures that were still halfway done on the painting tray. The Wyrm Claw Templar has been in the tray for a while as it was one of the first miniatures I tried to use aerograph for base color painting. I decided to go with my classic lizard black-red scheme for the wyvern as most of my kobolds are dark red and would fit the global color scheme. Non-metallics for the armor with ceramic helmet complete the mini. While not a spectacular paintjob it gets the job done and is pretty imposing on the board…

Ankylo Support Squad

I've been working on my Ankylosaurus squads today and finally left them ready for battle. I still haven't created a profile for them on Strike Legion but the idea is that they are medium armored, slow units, that are used to breach heavily defended infantry positions. Alternatively they can accompany infantry advance and provide them with close combat capabilities against enemy infantry and light units thanks to their bludgeoning tails.  Their usual squadron tactic would be to saturate the enemy defenses with mortar fire, making the in…

Lizard Convoy Duty

Today i finished my Lizard Riders Triceratops Transport Squad ( Microworld Games ), and I couldn't resist to shoot a pic or two despite the bases still needing some paint corrections. Triceratops Transport Squad T. Rex heavy support Rex performing convoy duty. I also had some time to begin working on my IJN Yamato model from Revell. It's not a great model, but Yamato has always been my favourite battleship so I thought I'd buy one for my shelf. IJN Yamato by Revell

Deliver your troops to the front in style!

Since I played Paraworld  some 6 years ago I had some pre-defined ideas of what should be each dinosaur role on the Battlefield. On Paraworld, Brachiosaurus act as mobile barracks, allowing you to build troops on the field. While it's not possible to do that feasibly in Strike Legion I wanted to transmit the feeling of a big powerful transport that would be used to breach heavy defended positions and set a beachhead. Gentleman, I present you the Command Brachio. Brachiosaur from Microworld Games Lizard Riders range. He is slow but tough an…

6mm Andrayada

My second project is fielding two 6mm armies: The Andrayada ( Dark Real Miniatures ) and the Lizard Riders ( Microworld Games ). I use them to play Strike Legion and more recently Future War Commander . I bought an Andrayada force deal for 50 bucks some time ago and I'm still in the process of painting it. It took me quite a while to get a cholor scheme that i would be satisfied with. In the end I went for a deep purple scheme with orange canopies, and white detais. My Andrayada forces painted so far  Detail of the Infantry forces Al…
