...and everyone could be a Shasvastii

The Interplanetario is over so it's time to get back to our rutines. I'm using the last days of holidays to finish off some half-done projects in my workbench and putting up the armies I want to be playing for the next ITS season.

With the talk about Defiance I was drawn into buying the new Wildfire battle set. Not sure if I will keep the O-12 guys for now but I'm surely keeping the Shasvastii for my RPG campaign.

I was not sure if the new design would fit my current Shasvastii color scheme that is mostly greens, emeralds and some blue for the skin, but it actually turned out pretty nice and fits well with the rest of my CA.

The Nox was the first model to paint as he was the reference and set up the color scheme for the others. Most of the others followed prety much the same pattern with just slight variation.

The Shrouded turned up pretty nice with some stippling on the cloack and the source-light effects on the arm. He looks really menacing, I'll probably use it as some final boss for some of the rpg adventures.

Cadmus and Caliban were next. I'm not particularly fan of the Cadmus sculpt but the Caliban... hell that's one nice mini. It's super imposing and menacing. It ended up turning like a crossbreed between a Predator and a Protoss (XD).

In my desk cleaning duties I managed to finish my Reex escorts too, who had stayed half painted for a while.

With this at least I get some space to keep on painting my NCA, the army I want to be running on my upcoming games. I hope I can finish the paintjobs on my Fusilier, Hexa and Swiss so I can bring them fully painted for the first tournament of this next season.

  1. Epic army mate! Im in love with your shasvastii skin color. Can you tell me how you did it?
I suspect its a greyish blue basecoat with purple and blue washes/glazes? But I can't find the same combination
