Police transformers

This was a little conversion project I did for my O-12. I really dislike the current miniature for the Roadbot Highway Patrol, that is supposed to be a high mobility vehicle that transforms into a gun platform bot. The original miniature looks very bland and feels like the robot is lazily carrying himself around. For that reason I hadn't been able to play O-12 lately as I felt that the profile was a really good profile I needed in my lists but couldn't vibe with the miniature.

Recently however the Moonraker caught my eye, it was a small vehicle that felt way too big on his 25mm base so it would look great on a 40mm base and I thought I might be able to convert into something more "human like".

As the box of the Moonrakers had 2 models I could use one as the mobility form, and convert the second using the parts of the Stormbot also present in the box, resulting in the following.

The Stormbot provided the legs and a spare deva-bot provided the main body to assemble everything around. I was surprised with how solid the final result was as I was unsure the Siocast would be able to endure the weight of the dense metal body.

The motor train was split in several parts so I could put the wheels in different sections of the robot on its upright form, thus reinforcing the impression that the legs were really folded underneath.

For the colors I kept to my usual O-12 police scheme of blues and whites, adding some orange neons for accent. For the bases I went for a clean flat look just adding some lettering and lines for color instead of going for texture. The pigments, added dust and mud to the wheels and ground.
