Trying to avoid a Metallica reference here...
At last the puppetactica miniatures are on us, and they look sweeeeeet! I managed to find a fellow bromad that was kind enough to trade me one of her rabbit-tactica for my pumpkin-tactica so I could assemble my usual setup of 2 specialist puppets + a shooter puppet.
Puppeteer |
The puppeteer was the last miniature of the bunch I painted, but surprisingly turned up far better than I was expecting. It has enough black, white and red to be recognised as a bromad but stands appart nicely with the purple armor plates and the blue tubes make for a similarity in design elements with the Kriza Borac.
The bunnies were the first of the puppets to be painted. They were my favourite of the three by far and I was glad it was the particular profile I usually run in pairs.
One of them had to be converted to make it look slightly different so I twisted her arms and head a bit. Luckily for me the arm didn't even snap so it was the fastest conversion ever.
I sticked mostly to studio scheme, just adding some red on the knee joints for extra color.
The Gorilla was next. He's the Red Fury profile but I intend to run it as the precision rifle (sorry, not a big fan of the pumpkin). I also sticked mostly to studio colors for this one. I was tempted to remove the tactical rock but on such a flimsy miniature I was worried I would end up chopping too much.
So here's the shot of the full team.
I'm kinda sad that my old puppetactica is going back to the shelf. I have very fond memories of several games played with them, even went to the Interplanetario with me and won me several games on their own.
