To keep the peace
It's been quite a while since my last painting update. Life has been a little bit busy between work and tournaments on the weekends. Last week I played my first games with O-12 and I really really loved their playstyle. It kinda feels very Nomad in a way so it was pretty easy to adapt to them unlike other armies I played before.
Kappa's are not the most played troopers but they were my test subjects for the color scheme. I wanted to go for a police force look, as I use a lot of O-12 troops on the RPG as enforcers aligned with the player characters. I investigated some sci-fi police uniforms but most cyberpunk uniforms looked very dark and gritty. In the end I turned to games and found the awesome uniforms in Astral Chain, that really give the police officer vibe. They were my go-to for colors.
Black, White and Blues are the main colors, a reddish orange acts as accent color. The idea was for it to look like a police car light.
The Sirius was one of the troops that sold me on O-12. A forward deploying specialist with adhesive ammo and a repeater? Yes please! I'd probably even be taking 2 more often than not.
Gangbuster is also another excellent trooper. Gotta love his killer hacker profile. He can perform all kind of shenanigans on the midfield and it pretty much is an all-around nuissance for the enemy.
To close it up, my Delta and Epsilon. The Epsilon got a pretty colorful orange visor to remind me he has MSV2. I really like the pouches he has over his armor. The Delta got some golden accent on some areas of the armor and the wings were painted as if they were energy based instead of solid. I think it made the guy pop up a little more.
