I've been enjoying Eldfall Chronicles for a while now, and among my Sand Kingdoms, one of my favourite models are the catgirl dancers. I've been particularly in love with the Voidmancer since I used her on our coop campaign of the game and had been toying around with the idea to bring her to a tournament.
It took me a while to at last get some time to paint her and her sister as I first wanted to convert one of them, not wanting them to look identical. The Aerothurge got a remake on her flowing silk scarf, turning it into two cloths coming from her wristbands. The cloth flows on the same direction as the sand on her spell so it helps to enphasize the direction of the wind.
My idea, inspired by Fire Emblem's Azura, was to play with the duality of having one of the dancers in white skin and dark robes, and the other in black skin and white robes. So for the aerothurge I went with black skin and grey hair, wanting to resemble the skin of a grey tabby cat.
This was later reinforced by tiger stripes on her tail.
On the other side the Voidmancer was the product of a fortunate accident. After having painted the complete model in violet and purple, I was painting her magic blue, as my intention was to make her magic a source of light into the model. While I was painting the spell, i fumbled and dropped it hard into the pallete where my violet color from the voidmancer dress was... and the result of the contrast between the two colours was so good I decided to apply it to the complete spell.
I added some OSL to bring up the colors on the dress and the skin. For the voidmancer I opted for a brown hair and tail, to point at another species of cat.
