The second wave of acquisitios for my Warcrow Hegemony force included the Beyond Winds of the North box, which added the dwarves to the Hegemony lineup and two of my favorite units in the game as a whole: the Bulwarks and the Aggressors.
These are some of the most badass miniatures of the Warcrow range in my opinion, they are obviously reminiscent of the Empire swordsmen from the old Warhammer Fantasy, but the quality of the sculpts is miles away.
For the areas of the vest, I decided to go for the same colors of my human nobility Blood Bowl team, with some tones of wine that give them a regal appearance. Compared to the Bucklermen they feel like high class soldiers of noble birth.
For the dwarf unit I decided to play a bit more with skin colors, going for pinkish skin tones on the dwarves and a black skin on Telia, They had very little areas were I could play with the metal reflections like in the other models, so in the end it got pretty limited to the pickaxes and the pan on the backpack of one of them.
The color scheme on the Bulwarks was pretty much the same of the Bucklermen, just with extra space to play with metal reflections on the shield and armor. They look great on the table and the fish-eye effect on the shields helps to sell the curvature of the metal.
