Christmas break in Hogwa... Arcadia University!

Well, last days before getting my well deserved year´s end vacation.

I still had some free days before flying so I started to work on the Faceless and the Nameless.
I still had Frank around waiting for his base to be finished so he ended entering the pack.

At the count of three everybody... Avada Kedavra!!

Totally not Voldemort
Magicka anyone?
I had to resist the urge to give him a "Riding the Lightning" t-shirt...

On the 5th day of Christmas, Chooloo gave to me...

So it's been a while since I posted any progress on my Arcadia Quest. My computer got rained on last week so it has been out of comission for some time. Enough for me to finish some more Arcadian denizens.

First, I went for the Vampire ladies:

I was not sure if I preferred the black eyes or the white ones so I made a set of each.

Next i went for the Goatmen. It was kind of difficult to get a hairy pattern on them. I still don´t feel 100% satisfied about the final result but I don´t think i can improve any more on them at the moment.
Oh, I made them some tatoos too.
For the last batch I finished "Beyond the Grave"'s Zombies.
And wen't for doctor Frank and Cthulu... i mean Chooloo

The wail beyond the wall

Well, I already had goblins so the next step was obviously... nope, not orcs: ghosts (yeah, you need to review your videogame references).

I really liked the female ghost concept when I saw the art during the Arcadia Quest Campaign. I'm not really fan of Zombies so the thing that made me but the expansion were the ghosts, the Dread King (the miniature is awesome) and the black knight heroes.

I really liked how the ghost miniatures turned out however i was a bit down by a little mould flaw on the female`s left eye that overextends their pupil. I didn`t want to fill it with putty and risk to leaving it worse so I had to paint it with a bit of caution and hope for the best.

I really liked how the knifes on the male ghosts turned out. It`s a pity I couldn't replicate the same effects on the female knife.

As a note, if any of you plays BattleCon: Devastation of Indines, the female ghost makes an excellent Baroness Ancella proxy.

First Steps into Arcadia

So, my Kobolds aren't finished yet but I couldn't contain myself... After playing Arcadia Quest this friday I decided that the next time I want to have at least the monsters painted. So there go the Goblins:

I went with a base that matched Arcadia's cobblestones. I used Vallejo paints Stone Grey, Lazur Yellow and German Orange. The results were quite satisfying so I'm probably going to stick with these for this project.

Ain't easy being green...
