Deliver your troops to the front in style!

Since I played Paraworld some 6 years ago I had some pre-defined ideas of what should be each dinosaur role on the Battlefield.

On Paraworld, Brachiosaurus act as mobile barracks, allowing you to build troops on the field. While it's not possible to do that feasibly in Strike Legion I wanted to transmit the feeling of a big powerful transport that would be used to breach heavy defended positions and set a beachhead.

Gentleman, I present you the Command Brachio.

Brachiosaur from Microworld Games Lizard Riders range.
He is slow but tough and can deliver a full infantry regiment to the front safely and still support their advance with his varied weaponry and his area field shields.

Work on the other lizard rider units is going faster now that i got the hang of the unit creation system. It's the kind of system that it's easier to understand if someone explains it to you than if you read it, but once it clics on your head you can be doing units in no time (provided you have an excel sheet available (XD)).

So far i have completed the Triceratops transports, Allosaurus as a fast close combat harrasser with EMP pulses, and Parasaurolophus heavy weapons support.

6mm Andrayada

My second project is fielding two 6mm armies: The Andrayada (Dark Real Miniatures) and the Lizard Riders (Microworld Games). I use them to play Strike Legion and more recently Future War Commander.

I bought an Andrayada force deal for 50 bucks some time ago and I'm still in the process of painting it. It took me quite a while to get a cholor scheme that i would be satisfied with.

In the end I went for a deep purple scheme with orange canopies, and white detais.

All the miniatures are still unbased. It's kinda difficult to find basing components in Brazil but this month I found a shop that sells some stuff for train modelling.

Brachiosaurus from MicroWorld Games Lizard Riders
I'm not sure if i like the result. The grass is ok for 28mm miniatures, but it seems too big for 6mm. I think I'm going to make some tests painting it in other colors to see if it improves a bit.

Get to know the guys... (Chibis)

I think the first step is to publicly present my current projects.

Right now the most time consuming of my projects is Super Dungeon Explore and chibi miniatures in general. I am waiting to receive my Arcadia Quest and Forgotten King kickstarters so i still need to finish painting all my original SDE miniatures.

The most recent miniatures I did for SDE were part of the crossover set Sodapop did featuring Relic Knights characters on chibi style.

Sodapop Miniatures - Kisa
I was really looking forward to paint Kisa, as i loved her model and i had a very clear idea of what I wanted to do with her. The original plan was her to have white hair and fur though. That's something I changed in the last steps when I noticed I had tons of SDE miniatures with white hair.

I also broke my own rule of never using metallic colors with chibi miniatures, but I had to open an exception with her because I was unable to get a tone of gold that would stand out from her tanned skin.

Sodapop Miniatures - Calico Kate
Calico Kate was next: I usually take video game characters as reference for SDE but i'm not much into pirates so I was out of ideas.  But then I came across a wallpaper of Borderlands 2 Captain Scarlett and I thought that it would make a nice inspiration for the cholor scheme (I've invested so many hours into that game that I thought it deserved a space on my collection)

I also did some Impact minis to go with the rest of the SDE set:
Impact Miniatures - Karate Master (AKA Ryu)
This completely unknown guy over here... (i need to find bases for my impact miniatures -_-)

Impact Miniatures - Ninja
And this little ninja over here.

Doing this blog entry made me realize i lost a golden chance to paint this guy as the Mega Drive´s Shinobi 3 main character. Maybe if i get another ninja...

Beggining...For Glory!

Well, it´s been some time since i wrote a blog and all the cool wargaming kids out there have a blog lately so i´m gonna give it a try too.

This blog intends to keep the focus on miniature painting and wargaming, but will probably see some boardgames from time to time.

I hope that you like what you see here and it inspires you. And please feel free to comment or critizice my work. It´s always cool to have some feedback!
