Mandalorian civil war

Recently my gaming group has had a renewed interest is Star Wars Shatterpoint. We saw that Atomic Mass had updated several old profiles of the game and decided to give it a go again with some new players. After some demos, and seing that we were probably going to play this again, I decided to invest some time in painting the remaining parts of my base set that were still just primed.

I had not painted any of the mandalorians on the base set, hoping maybe to sell them off one day, but as the game has not come out with any new base box and everyone playing the game already has them I decided I could at least paint them to use them on ocasions.

It was an interesting exercise, particularly on the supercommandos that have mostly black armour, to get them to look black and still show enough volume on their clothes and armor as most of the other Shatterpoint miniatures I've painted so far usually had a light source from a lightsaber that could help pick up the volumes.

The clan Kryze mandalorians were easier as most of the armor was actually done with metallic colors. I could still use the reactor fire to play some part in the lightning of the back.
The smoke was done with white speedpaints and while I really like how it looks on the miniature, my camera clearly can't capture the subtleties in color of neither the smoke nor the ground apparently.

As I was painting Mandalorians, Jango Fett was another miniature that was pending from my collection. He pretty much shares the color scheme with Kryze's mandalorians so kinda tagged along for the ride.

And to close it all up. Ahsoka. Once the mandalorians were all painted she was the last remaining miniatures from my collection still in black primer so I kinda had to paint her. I admit it was a bit rushed  and half-assed as I do like her padawan version more, but it was more of a completionist thing. Once again the camera messed up my whiter colors contrast for some reason but it still a decent miniature in hand.

With theses I had completed all my Shatterpoint collection but I'm currently planning to expand into some Imperial faction miniatures so stay tuned for more Shatterpoint on the future.
